John, I'm not sure why it costs GM so much to make one. Nor am I confident that the costs will be reduced as time goes on. There's no "Moore Law" of automobiles, you know.

And $31K for a four-seater seems kind of steep, although if the savings compared to a regular sedan is on the order of $1500/year (including added electric bills), it might be worth it.

The bad news: They are only willing to pay $31K for the car, but it costs GM $40K to build each one:

ROTFLMAO.

I'll bet you Nissan, when it rolls out its electrics, will make money on the first one it sells.

The damned unions deserve what's coming to them, and I will laugh my ass off the day GM closes the doors for good.
