Nothing is more efficient than the free market.

Best thing government can do, if they don't want to be an idle observer, is to grease the skids and lower the barriers for more efficient technologies. It's really stupid when even solar plants have to waste money on "environmental impact" studies, as if some desert pack rat is worth saving.

Economic sustainability is the goal.
