Yes, Mr. Putin is the former head of the KGB. He even looks like a KGB officer. His methods are dangerous, and the democracy in Russia is at risk. Unfortunately, he is also smart, which is a key for all successful dictators. While I don't like the gradually disappearing freedoms here in USA, Shrub is not very smart, so USA is safe from a totalitarian regime. <G> The possibility seems unrealistic to most Americans, who take their freedom for granted, but... all that Homeland Security, etc. This is how it all starts. Americans need to guard their freedoms now more than ever before. Did you know Hitler had an IQ of 155? Stalin was also very smart when annihilating all his opponents inside Russia and bringing trusted people to power. <G>
