I remember it very well. I was in jr. high school and my engineer father worked on it. I was completely into studying endangered species etc at the time and argued endlessly with him. He brought out maps and plans etc to show me what care they were taking and I slowly calmed down. And it has proven true. Quite a miracle of engineering and production really. But if not for the push pull between the gas co. and the enviromentalists, maybe it would have been done badly, at least for the caribou. not leaky like lines running thru siberia. but not with the design that took the natural enviroment and its occupents into acct. So of course we could do it again. And with any off-shore drilling we did.
