5 and a half years, isn't "a few months"

A few months might mean something like 2 to 4 months.

Also for the third time, many of those deaths where caused by the enemy.


...and who, pray tell is our enemy in Iraq?


Al Qaeda, and to a lesser extent the Mahdi army. And a few other groups, but generally they are becoming weaker and/or more marginalized as the population has turned against them.

It pisses me off to no end that every time we invade some country, the locals there try to kill our troops. I think this idea that whoever shoots at an American soldier is a war criminal is probably the best so far in the 21st century. It ought to become world law (I think it is already.), and other counties should follow our example. I can't wait until the Georgian war criminals are put on trial in some gulag-style military trial. America leads, others follow.
