And he could have been easily smacked into place. The extremists are at home in Pakistan. And Saudi Arabia (our 'dear' friend). And if we have such great special forces, why was he not simply assasinated? Back in '00 I had a friend who was into special forces things who dreamed of having that as his job. The core of the issue starts in Saudi Arabia and expands outwards. Saddam had no wmd. He had no sway in the middle east at large. He hated us but he was not religious. So if we were going to do something, Pakistan would have made more sense.
