You know, I was thinking about the market tonight and how it's acted since the intervention by Paulson and company on July 13-15 via the short sale restrictions and the rescue of FNM and FRE.

I think the market is best described as a "Stunned Bunny".

It'sl like an animal that's been hit over the head with a club and is stumbling around in a semi-conscious state trying to find its bearings.

By all measures we should have dumped about another 120 SPX points in July, recovered in August, and re-tested that low in the fall, with a counter rally for 6-9 months from that low.

With the intervention and stunned bunny market, the entire thing may be getting drawn out a bit longer, but the result should be the same.
