i find it interesting that a simple celebration of an ancient and enduring culture can garner so much controversy. i find it amazing that folks think some nations can invade and kill at will, while others cannot have a simple and traditional flag raising ceremony. i feel assured that, given the nature of the unbecoming whinging over a tv program and small sniping over cheers for faraway friends and hails for global brothers, one side is doing the righteous and the other, merely exercising the despair. and the best is to compare beijing 2008 with germany 1936 - without noting that this time, the two war mongers are visitors, one from washington and the other from moscow.
