I walk to work. Better for your health. We have become fat, lazy asses, driving everywhere. Our quality of life would go up with less driving. "they're not that prosperous a country regardless of what statistics say." And here, the discussion has to end. If you're the kind of chap that sees a healthier, richer, less indebted nation as "not that prosperous" solely because they ride bicycles, then you've missed the big picture, and no about of reason will likely help.
