My reading comprehension is quite excellent--in the passage you posted Obama said his sympathies lie with the Arabs. That's fine, but why didn't he add it was an understandable human trait for his fellow Americans to look for somewhere to place blame after 3000 of them were brutally incinerated by Arabs.
