Dunno....depends what price he got in at, I suppose. If he got in right after Lehman was inscribed in the "Book of Life" (i.e, when the 19 stocks on which naked short selling was temporarily forbidden), it was a damn good buy. I doubt he has serious designs on running the thing, or dealing with their balance sheet.

EDIT: I see that he had that stake as of June 30th. Ouch, about 20% underwater since then......

Soros thing. Imo, ignore him.

I've tried, but find it too difficult to follow his buys and sells. Too many stocks and too much in and out. I assume some staff make and execute some of his decisions, or their decisions. Soros - famous name and bigshot investor. I find no record of his performance as a stock picker over the past few years though, and from looking at his buys/sells, I see more poor results than good results. Jmo.

That said, as regards his buy of PBR, I can make a case that that stock IS a buy now. I hold shares and plan to add more if/as stock continues to fall.
