Obama was very honest. He said drilling not high on his list, but he recognized the need for bipartisan cooperation.
McCain usually participates in the gang of Something in the senate so he knows the value of compromise as well.
EG mccains willingness to compromise on FICA tax increases, separating that from his no new taxes pledge.
