TJ I do accept you offer and apologies and receive same back in return and any hurt i have caused YOU i apologize for. Please lets agree that we differ starkly in our view of the world order based on each of our backgrounds and would appreciate in the future instead of confrontation to ask why I think the way I think. I and my parents suffered enough under the Stalinist regime even that I grew up in Romania, with the local security services checking my education and influences of my parent on me. Further my dad and mother never told me of their great suffering during WWII, I only saw the scars left on their backs many years after and they found all kind of excuses not to tell me why they have them when I asked. Unfortunate they past away with their secrets and except of some foggy information of location I do not know nothing. I only imagine the pain they suffered, that as a result, they choose not to tell me anything. At my age and the mere fact that I bring this up it only indicates of the deep feeling of emotional pain I have to that period from before I was born to the early 60ties More so in memory of my mother, I want to bring to the attention of all that my mother language is German and my parents send me to German school and in our home including today there are/where the writings of the great German poets writers and philosophers, as my mother steadfastly claimed that the Nazi Regime from 1933 trough 1945 did not resemble the German culture and/or their people. TJ, do you believe Stalin had killed more Russians and protected Georgian people through out his regime ? Observe a striking similar cultural mindset between George Soros and Haim. They would wait no time to bomb Iran.

You are a classy guy TJ!! And judging by Haim's response. There is great hope for the world. in any case, an understanding for a proper frame of discussions would be a test of sort, because if we cannot do the right thing, then what hope is there for the broader world?, Bravo to both of you! On this statement but if so, perhaps real income, real estate, real everything else will do even worse and real money will do best. there seems to be some historical foundation for such a state. What is real money, in your definition, gold? It is interesting to watch the changing valuation of things when the measurement of the thing valued, is in itself changing and the different "reason" put forth to explain it. Having just been in London it is no mystery to me that the dollar/pound relationship is shifting. Lunch in London was running 2X+ times the cost in SE Florida, dinner 3X's. When I told Brits they could buy a 1400 square foot house in a decent neighborhood for $120,000. (60,000 pounds at the time) their eyes grew wide in astonishment. A comparable house anywhere in the UK, forget London, would cost 3X that. Interesting perhaps also, is that while I believe Hong Kong and to some extent Singapore properties have potentially unlimited demand, the asking prices are somewhat reflective of this. Certain parts of the USA (Florida for example) are bargain basement in comparison. Climate and infrastructure is similar. Yes, the US has taxes but there is no state tax in Florida and there are lots of tax advantages written into US tax law. This suggests to me a re balancing here too sooner or later. Certainly buying below replacement cost has a limited downside if nothing else. regards, R.
