What you actually said was the sacrifice would be worth it for the business these companies would do.

I never said any such thing. Never. Never said the loss of one American life was "worth" the business these companies would do. I did point out that Americans have a long history of sacrificing for the freedom of other nations.

I did say that eventually the trade value would take care of the cost of the war and I believe I was correct -- although, when using overstated numbers as you are prone to do, it sets the bar unduly high.

My guess is the companies would have taken the $Trillion and the parents of the casualties would disagree.

When we send our children into war, we understand the risks. More importantly, when our children decide to participate -- it IS a voluntary thing -- THEY understand the risks. But they, being the finest Americans in existence, understand the importance of what they do. It is unfortunate, indeed, that the Left doesn't get it, but the kids who are fighting these wars most assuredly do.
