IMO the military isn't as tied up as you think, and by coincidence they are located very near Georgia.

Why don't you tell us how President Gore or President Kerry could have prevented this from happening? They would not have had our military tied up pretending that the criminal actions of Bin Laden was some kind of war that could be bombed into a solution. Bush Jr. has the military so tied up that Russia has decided to show the world (and particularly East Europe) just how weakened Bush Jr. and Cheney have left us. What I don't know is whether Bush/Cheney and their fans get that that's just what has happened in Georgia. The FAMD branch of that group don't appear to be getting it as of yet.
