I bet the marginally literate folks pay far more taxes than the very rich who can hire lawyers and accountants to legally shelter money.

I bet you are right.

The problem is that they are of limited comprehension.

They believe George Bush and John Mccain that the GOP is going to improve their lot in life.

Unable to look about them and understand what is happening, any body who tells them he is going to lower their taxes gets the nod. Just like Prop 13. It sho looks good....

Need look no further than the folks who are falling for the McCain swill here.

Many will vote for the Bush encore and in so doing, continue the destruction of the country, which is my point.

Obviously Prop. 13 has had some unintended consequences. Or, maybe they were intended consequences.

In order to be fair, they need to lift that 2% number and let very old assessments catch up to market reality. That will also either drop house prices or stop them from increasing.
