In the last analysis, voters don't like pain. Especially high gas. So maybe it's a good thing in that people would vote the bums out.

True, Oilmen know no other way but gas has been cheap until the last couple years.

The key is a plan like Pickens' plan and not to let up should gas prices drop. Congress could never come up with anything like that. They are only capable of quick fixes after they screw things up.
