And if Clinton had resigned the scandal would have gone away and Gore would likely have won in 2000.

And the country was most definitely damaged by the Repug most silly and scandalous impeachment efforts which took the country's focus from issues of importance to issues of trivia.

Liberals see it that way.

But the man committed perjury and was impeached for that reason. His behavior mandated that he be impeached, and he was.

Contrast that with what the liberals have done to fine individuals like Karl Rove and Dick Cheney -- people who have done absolutely nothing to deserve the wrath of a liberal Congress yet have been dragged through the mud for eight years.

If you're going to be in politics you need a thick skin (another place where Obama fails miserably). But what Clinton did caused great harm to the nation, and Edwards was prepared to do the same thing.

It is part of liberalism -- arrogance is a characteristic (just look at Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Gore, Kerry and everyone else in a position of leadership amongst liberals).

That's why you don't see Republican presidential candidates getting into this mess. They have the good sense to know if they're going to f*ck around they need to stay out of presidential politics.
