Might be true for power. But, NG in particular is important in homes. All of the hot water heaters I've seen were NG. Now that might be a northern Germany thing, I can't say. Same with stoves.


Then that's a problem. I thought they might be all electric.

well, again notice that 2005-2007 wasn't covered by Ted's source. Yes, you are quite right, gas to the home is a big thing in Germany.
