His father (who presumably had title to the land) signed the contract for money.....why should I feel sorry for him?

To get a better idea of the scale of that York wind farm and its impact on the landscape, check out these seven photos...

An Amish farmer rakes hay as wind turbines from the Maple Ridge Wind Farm work in the distance in Lowville, N.Y., Monday, Aug. 4, 2008. The $400 million Maple Ridge wind project, the largest in New York state, brought money and jobs and a wondrous sense of prosperity to a place that had long given up on any. (AP Photo/Mike Groll)

John when I walk down to the lake with my doggies (Lake Ontario) I see a giant wind turbine and a nuke plant.. The nuke plant was there before me and I was there before the turbine..

The further away these things are they will still be disturbing something... and the cost will be greater to get the power to market.. In the 14 years I've lived in this part of Toronto much open space has been lost to urban sprawl..

We all want power ... but no one wants it near them.. Something has to give... There is no good solution, just a best solution it seems..
