Sigh. Look at the figures for the last century. You should be able to spot the trend.

But use actual numbers, ok?

Again, try using actually numbers. From your response, you haven't done that and decided to make stuff up.

Now communist countries are a little different. It is difficult to assign a Gini index to them because so much of their compensation is in the form of perks rather than money. But, what the heck, assign them a Gini of 0. Now crime is often low, authoritarian societies tend to be that way. But, out of wedlock births can be high in some. Can be pretty low, also. Especially if the government frowns on it.

Bottom line, though, the countries on the extreme ends of the Gini index are usually the most miserable.
