TH.

((13 clownbucks at Amazon. I have it in my cart ...))

LOL! I had already ordered on Amazon in between viewing the video, and reading your post to which I'm replying.

((Bacevich expressed my personnel view of what America has become better than anyone I can recall.))

I completely agree.

BTW, there was a really great piece in Canada's Globe & Mail that provided excerpts from an upcoming book by Canadian author Ronald Wright. Unfortunately, I cannot find the article online at the Globe's website, but here is a link to the upcoming book:

What is America?: A Short History of the New World Order

In the Globe's review, the author actually sounds a lot like Professor Bacevich. BTW, the author states that in the US, "five people in 10 think the creation myth in the Bible is literally true". Can that figure possibly be right?

((I admit I do not have a full understanding of the situation in Georgia.))

Well, I don't think I fully understand the Georgia situation either, but I think something very important has gone down there in terms of pieces arranged on the Grand Chessboard. I'll keep an eye and ear out over the next week to hear further commentary on what exactly has changed here.

((Somehow I think the imperialism is going to backfire sooner vs. later.))

I certainly hope so. It is revolting to witness.
