Yes it is. I import pet products from the USA to Canada and everyone of those products is either made in China or elsewhere so here's what happens:

US importers buy Chinese goods and often export them to other countries acting only as go betweens or re-packagers. This happens so often you have no idea. Mostly US companies are simply middlemen who can easily be cut out but most of the world thinks, and rightly so, that because US businesses are so well organized, especially in the shipping area, and because the USD is low that, all things being equal, it is simpler and more convenient to let the Americans be a middlemen as it simplifies things for importers like myself. Bottom line, its easier for me to buy Chinese through the US than go through the process directly but do I NEED the Americans in the middle? NO!
