re:"1950 reserves....production since 1950 far exceeds the reserve number from 1950?"

If that didn't happen it would mean no additional drilling was done after 1950...I think you must grasp that. But continued drilling year after year did not increase reserves after 1960 which indicates Texas reserves are being depleted. No Texas oil man would disagree.....

"Now do you believe the reserve number in 2006 is the total amount of oil left?"

Yes I absolutely do...Oh, there may be some found here and there but nothing that will significantly increase the 2006 reserves..but with people like you an increase of 10 barrels over the previous year will have you stupidly jumping up and down shouting the downturn is over. The reserves have been steadily dropping since 1952....does that mean no one has been looking or are they simply unlucky or stupid??? There were about 90,000 more producing wells 35 years after 1950 and now the number of producing wells is close to the 1950 number. The handwriting has been on the wall for a long time Broomy, get used to it. Most Texas oilmen, including Pickens, have... Why are extremes being used that are squeezing a few more barrels a day out of old wells....?? Did you think it is coincidence that US peak oil and Texas peak oil occurred about the same time????
