I didn't say anything about justification. Attack ads are part of the game. And, while lies and distortions are often part of it too, they don't have to be and should be condemned. "Then Bush Sr. answers with a very negative campaign, including Willie Horton and the Beetle Bailey image, and the Democrats whine and moan about it." You consider the two to be equivalent? Honestly? "Is that a game that you think will be productive in proving one side is more vicious than the other?" If the ads are honest, I have no problem with them. It is when they just make shit up that I complain.
