"Meanwhile, the NW's fall/winter storms have started two months ahead of schedule."

Here things are, different. We got rain today. In August. With no TS or hurricane. Temperature is 79 degrees at the moment. Or about 25 less than normal.

Not that there is anything wrong with it.

In the last 24 hours, the temps have dropped 30 degrees. Rain is forecasted for almost every day for the next two weeks. That's highly unusual. This is not well known but Seattle in the summer is more a Mediterranean climate....little rain, little humidity and abundant sunshine. That's nearly a complete reversal from winter. In addition we are entirely dependent for rain from the storms that come out of the Gulf of Alaska. From time to time, you guys will get lows forming seemingly out of nada and then it will rain. That happens here very, very rarely. So if the storms from Alaska fail, we get no rain. And to be getting them this early is a real surprise. Of course, it went this way last summer so maybe its not that unusual any more. Frankly, I like it.....I start to miss the rain right about now.
