Yep, the math is the same as my first example. No one can argue the difference in cost. I have a couple of friends with the Prius. Once of them is 6'-4" tall. He is "cramped" in the car but otherwise loves it. We kid him because his other car is a Toyota Tundra monster of a truck that gets him about 15 mpg.

THe difference in gas cost is one thing, but then you have to factor in the cost of the new vehicle and the possible amount you would get when you sell the old one....

versus the amount for the car you currently pay.

Ours are paid for, so that's why it doesn't make sense for us to get another now until new ones come out and we can more readily see what kind of fuel they will use, and how much that will cost, etc...
