hi haim, this stock-out state had happened a few times in the case of panda and typically nearer to the end of the year. last year panda stock-out for current year mintage happened in october. this had never happened in the case of eagles, maples and koalas, at least not to my lunch group. hk banks are usually pretty deep in the gold department. they may ration purchase at times, but stock-out on all bullion?! bears watching and briefing. hk banks went permanent stock-out on platinum in 2004, and now only buys back but do not sell. i used to hoard platinum when it was cheaper than gold. i preferred its shine. i still have the hoard, and one day may choose to do science a favor and sell what i have :0)
