Brumar,

I'd like you to go through a simple exercise. You are king. Your goal is to minimize the impact of high oil and gas prices on the economy. Please rank order the following three options based on how big the beneficial impact will be in the next 20 years: conservation efforts (like increasing car fleet mpg standards), alternatives (like moving to electric and hybrid car usage), and drilling everywhere (ANWR and offshore).

"Nobody's arguing with you that production has peaked ... just the false conclusions you draw from that. Particularly that drilling isn't worthwhile anymore."

Are you that effing stupid or are you just trying to piss people off.... And btw, I think in the recent past you have disagreed that production had peaked....

"Wrong. You only prove reserves by drilling.'

So why are you so hot to drill the OCS?? Have you heard the term "proven reserves" ?

"Which means they're being depleted faster than they're being replaced"

Once again, no shit Sam Spade....You beginning to get the idea yet??

In the meantime, this will probably be wasted on you, but give it a read....
