They'll raise wages to compensate for higher costs for food and gas or risk political instability.

There's no inflation
I just paid 3.51 gallon for gas. Down 12%
Now I'm going to Disney World

And while I was in area of yesteryear, I also picked up some bananas - $1 for a basket- about 4 lbs
Apples- .48 lb
Broccoli crowns 1.29 lb
Bagged Organic Baby salad $1

Some incredibly cheap food here. Much locally grown
Beats any warehouse club. Always try to stop in whenever I'm up that way
shady-maple.com

Kids are having Banapple Soup tonight
Now I just need to google for a recipe.

re: <<Yeah, we'll never have inflation like the 70's....we don't make anything anymore....and the folks that are making the stuff we buy are doing it for 2 bucks a day....that's not inflation. Maybe it will be different when oil hits $200.>>

But they are making the stuff we DON'T need.. They are making stuff we WANT.. Pretty soon all our money will go for our NEEDS and the "wants" will go down the tubes..

Then we will have NEEDINFLATION and WANTDEFLATION..

Two stages and guess which one "wins" out.. :)
