There's little question in my mind that a physical shortage exists - I just don't have a decent feel for how long it will last. My hunch is that it'll be quite a while before it clears up and also that those with leveraged futures shorts and similar could easily have unwanted "religious experiences" due to limit up days ahead... but this period is the roughest I've ever seen for getting a real handle on the full picture, and that includes late 1979 and early 1980.

I don't think I was the one who was posting here about inventory issues, but I have mentioned it in a number of emails and posts elsewhere. The physical shortages are happening way before I expected it - not good.

The Tulving data helps too - thanks. It also appears that he'll be shipping some Silver Eagle Mint boxes the week of Sept 8th for spot plus $2.49, although he still shows sold out on all silver bars or rounds.
