Um, I don't remember a large meteorite hitting the earth in my lifetime. Maybe I'm too young. Did it happen in the 70s?

It was 10,000 years ago, and at least one other that caused the dinosaurs to go extinct! You want us to ruin our economy because the global temperature goes up in a wink of time? Because that is what the last century is only a blink of time compared to the history of the earth.
