I read probably twenty liberal-leaning blogs on a regular basis, and I haven't heard a word about Vietnam Veterans Against McCain since the Republican primaries ended. You know why? Because if you knew anything at all about VVAM, you'd know that they're not liberals at all -- Jerry Kiley and Ted Sampley, who run them, are two of the guys who swift-boated Kerry in 2004. They're conservatives who didn't want to see McCain get the nomination. So you can take that statement back now. -Z

David, I went to the site Vietnam Veterans Against McCain. What a sorry site. No "veterans" named except for the site founder, Jerry Kiley, who served 14 months in an Army communications center "in support of combat troops in Vietnam." I looked at it. It is so offensive I cannot make myself read it. I just cannot comprehend how people can do this kind of crap. Whether or not a person likes McCain, to criticize the man for what was obviously the most difficult of human circumstances in Hanoi is absolutely perverted. There simply isn't any doubt about what he lived through there.
