I didn't "drill down" on the link, but most of these articles and calculations don't take into account your ability to manufacture Vitamin D from the sun. The average person loses 70% of their ability to do this from age 20 to age 70.

So the older you are, the more you need to supplement.

It is important to remember that D works synergistically with A & K2, so if you increase your intake of D you must also increase your intake of A & K2 to avoid D toxicity.

this is somewhat troubling

first of all it doesn't say how much A and K2 (where can you get that??) and the rather casual reference to toxicity...

sure would like to know more on that
