Butting in here, but I watch all the indices and a list of some 3 dozen ETFs daily. NONE look attractive right now. Being in cash is a position. You don't have to be in the markets all the time.

My opinion?

The Nasdaq doesn't do much for me either way. RIMM & AAPL have been my favs (for trading)

I think the financials are screwed and will get worse which will take the SPX with it. At this point (assuming your sik profile fits the posture) I think you keep shorting financials after they spike until it stops working.
