The reason 39% of people own houses longer than 5 years is due to age. People ages 22 through 40 move more frequently than every five years as theyre having numerous changes in their lives(new jobs, marraige, kids, etc) After the number of times a person will move dramtically falls off, as the next major life event is retirement, which usally signals the last move as a person moves from a family home to a retirement home.
