Seems to me that this is the best compromise with the Hillary camp and that is what Obama is shooting for and wants the world to know that this is what he does best which is bring people together. Besides, this is where he intends to puncture the "Red block" of states.

Just have to wait and see. Besides, the VP is a President in the making and Bayh is young enough to step into Obama's shoes, 8 years later.
