Other southern whites were not quite so direct about it but they hinted at a similar position. a) A black candidate that, isn't oozing naivete in military and foreign affairs might do alot better b) A black candidate that, doesn't have a whole string of extreme leftist friends who have 'mentored' him might do better. c) A black candidate that doesn't go against the recommendations of just about every economist under the sun by wanting to RAISE taxes and initiate massive spending programs while we sit on the virge of recession (arguably the definition of economic suicide), might do better.... d) A black candidate that didn't scream racism every time someone challenges the intelligence of his stance on issues...might do better. e) A black candidate that thought more about what the American people want as opposed to the opinions of Europeans might do better.
