side thang. my purchases yesterday were at a local sporting goods chain. i said, how many pistols are you selling. he said, on a good day 9. but at least 5. they are open 7 days a week. all their stuff is top notch top line starting at say 300 on up. but limited selection. couple of hk's, sig sauers, s & w's, glocks, etc etc.. say half conceals, have the rest plus a few derringers for the boot. i said, repeat customers. he said, a few have probably over time bought the whole case display. but most are one timers. if we sell 9, at least 4 are buying because they had something happen to them or know someone who had something happen. so........40% of their sales are related to folks who were involved in an incident of some kind. at this place alone.... somewhere between 120 and 160 pistols are going out the door per month... or 1500-2000 per year. wow!!! and that's just one place. think twice before giving anyone the finger in texas. mf's are armed to the teeth.
