I don't think Obama can stay above the fray. Maybe after he's president but not now.

I think he could with 'the Clinton's' on the ticket; they would draw a lot of attention. And I can't think of anyone that would bring the working class Dems, and women into the fold as well as Hill. If it's a close race that could be the deciding factor.
