Most people benefit from heeding your views, right?<g> I do think McCain really lucked out, and if he can keep his ego in check, could actually win.

If he gets smart (listens to my feedback to his contribution solicitations - LOL) he will announce in St.Paul that he has re thought his views on ANWR and is supporting the Governor of Alaska's request to drill. I don't think he will; the costs (big flip-flop, being accused of pandering to the right-wing) outweigh the benefits (being 100% for the Republican drilling effort, instead of 80% for it). At least I think that's how the McCain camp must calculate it. McCain said a lot of silly things about drilling in ANWR being like drilling in the Grand Canyon. He doesn't want to hear them replayed now.
