Reporters were never included. Like the time he visited the wounded at Walter Reed. You do know he visited the wounded at Walter Reed? Without reporters? He had just sent his Senate staff home and just had his campaign staff when he was informed he couldn't bring his campaign staff. No senator goes anywhere without his or her staff, especially one running for president.
