But I still believe that McCain's wisest and best political move would be to tap Lieberman as the VP

Talk about CHANGE. This move would herald change in a big way:

from a disfunctional and divided body politic where you are either red or blue to a possibly more civil approach to government utilizing the best talents of leaders of both parties working in tandem rather than seeking always to undermine the other.
