He really is being an idiot. He's given about four different reasons why he opposed the bill, one of them being it lacked neutrality language.

He was chairman of the committee that originated the bill. He could have inserted any language he wanted to into that bill!


To me, it's part of the emerging Obama pattern. So Obama goofed. He just wasn't paying close attention to the bill. Obama is never paying attention to the job at hand because his mind is always on campaigning for the next, higher job. That's one reason Obama has always voted with "safety first" in mind.

But this time he goofed and voted alone. So this is a good one to tag him, especially as this bill concerns abortion and this is a general election where the majority do not feel good at all about abortions that could possibly result in live births.
