I had a vivid lesson in the importance of back ups - when I opened Q yesterday, QDATA was gone!! As in not there! Panic!

It may have been hiding somewhere, but the fact that I back up daily saved me the trouble. Was up and running with no problem, but a lot of angst in the meantime.

Probably not Q's fault, probably something internal to my machine. But scary, nonetheless.

Here's a link to a web site that offers hundreds of free financial programs. You have to be somewhat of a techie as you'll see when you search the web site. This link will take you to the financial programs. They are not as refined as Quicken, and you'll need to determine how you can get the data updates. In any event, it's worth looking at:
