I can imagine your real estate investment in Wong Chuk Hang flooded really badly in this storm.

And how about the upcoming WW III scenario hit the main street ?

just in-tray

The world is one step closer to a full-blown World War III scenario. The Russia-Georgia conflict had already given a hint of what the US foreign policy is up to at this stage. The US slash NATO alliance want to confront Russia head on and topple the mafia government which had hindered the western geopolitical influence all over the world. Now with the coastline blockade by the US naval battle fleets, the war with Iran seems imminent. If the previous World War was about seizing foreign gold by opposing world power, this coming World War is about seizing major oil and gas pipelines in the Middle East, as well as in the Caucasus region, where Georgia is sitting right on a major pipeline to Europe. Recently, the US has added fuel on fire by signing a deal with Poland to install missile defense system, hoping to stop incoming missiles from rogue nations like Iran. But the plan also irritates Russia who views such system would pose major threat to Russia national security. Apparently, the new Cold War era between the East and the West has already begun and only this time the cold war could turn out to be a real war. Even though Russia and Georgia have both ceased fire, I would imagine there could be a second conflict to come after they had re-accessed the balance of power in the region. According to US intelligence, Russia has set up SU-22 missiles capable of carrying nuclear warhead in South Ossetia, and NATO may well equip Georgia with new military hardware. Russia is facing serious threats from the west, who sees demographic problem in Russia. In military, Russia probably is 10 years behind in overall readiness and technology. So the concern is if NATO is getting in the way, Russia will vow to use tactical nuclear warhead against NATO. It is understood that the intention of the west is to control money flow between the East and the West. By showing goodwill to China, the US has successfully isolated Russia as the main issue in worldwide geopolitics. The Eastern European ex-Soviet bloc have also unfairly blamed Russia in the communist past. Russia retaliates by blaming foreigners in ruling and killing Russians during the same era. The fact is Josef Stalin was a Georgian and thereafter Ukrainian-born leaders had ruled the communist Soviet empire. It is nothing but ethnic feud which could turn out to be pretty ugly, as can be seen in the Russia-Georgia war in which Georgia was using World War II blitzing style rocket bombardment toward South Ossetia people, completely disregard civilians. It could be unimaginable about what the situation might look like, should the US slash Israeli preemptively attack Iran in September and October which might be in favor of John McCain in US presidency election. So the neo-con in the US would want to blow this situation wide open once and for all, while the imbalance of financial trade has given them fewer choices of market manipulation until they are exposed by excessively flooding the world with paper while drowning innocent victims. For China, it is critical for the government to monitor the geopolitical situation, because if Russia is crumbled into pieces, the red country could well be the next targeted. Besides, the neighboring Pakistani is in chaos when the president Mussaraff suddenly resigned last week and may provide chances of Islamic revolution in this nuclear capable country. Meanwhile, India is of major concern while the country desperately needs oil and gas through Iran. It will be a matter of time before the worst headline news hits the main street and causes worldwide attention.
