But the two living Beatles are not radical left. I can appreciate the idealism of Ringo and Paul.

Paul has a healthy respect for keeping it to himself, if he is. I think they learned early on (with the John/Jesus incident) that politics and religion can destroy you.

I've been to many of Paul's concerts and have never heard him make political remarks during a show. Ringo, too (although only managing one of his shows -- not that impressive). I saw George years ago and I don't remember a hint of politics in the show.

Back in the 80s, before Bonnie Raitt won the Grammy, we saw her at a small theater. They had tables set up raising money for the cause du jour (Central America). I remember all the people in our group being kind of offended by it.

The worst is my wife quit watching Law & Order over the politics of some of those actors. Hell, it left me stuck with CSI three nights a week!
