More and more, it looks like the value of the dollar is the key to almost everything: inflation, commodities, precious metals, and ultimately bonds and stocks via interest rates.

There still seems to me a lot of misplaced confidence in the U. S. dollar. I wonder what, and when, will knock the pegs out so that it drops below 65.

With both budget and trade surpluses, and lots of natural resources, it will take a lot of socialistic mismanagement to damage the Canadian dollar.
