Why don't you provide some facts? Let's use the US sponsored Iran/Iraq war as a starting point.

Documented Civilian deaths from violence: 86,661 - 94558 iraqbodycount.org This doesn't include those who were military, or those uncounted civilians who died for indirect (non-violent) reasons related to lack of necessities like power, food, water, etc. This second number is also significant, but is obviously much harder to count. Now don't try to tell me all those people were going to die at some point anyway, so I shouldn't care if it happened sooner rather than later. The government's convenient label of militant, insurgent, or terrorist is designed for you to conveniently forget that they are also people. The fact that they are not the same as us or they practice a different religion, or may look at the world in a different way is by no means a justifiable excuse to kill them. Too bad our Moron In Chief is from Texas where it is accepted practice to kill people... obviously the only thing for right and proper thinking people to do, given the death penalty's popularity there. Killing any individual, no matter what they have done, diminishes us all as a society. The commandment that says "Thou shalt not kill.", doesn't include a disclaimer for "unless your government tells you to", or "unless you really, really want to". --James
