Pointing out the vast riches of so many of the democrats is a good start.

So is pointing directly at "The One" - which is exactly what the McCain team did ---

"We're delighted to have a real estate debate with Barack Obama," said spokesman Brian Rogers, adding that the press should focus on Obama's house. "It's a frickin' mansion. He doesn't tell people that. You have a mansion you bought in a shady deal with a convicted felon."

The felon reference was to Tony Rezko, a former Obama friend and financial backer who was convicted on fraud and bribery charges this year. Rogers vowed to intensify efforts to link Obama to Rezko in the coming days.

"That's fair game now," he said. "You are going to see more of that now that this issue has been joined. You'll see more of the Rezko matter from us."

------------------
What should also be fair game now is how much income Mrs. Obama generates while complaining.

The whole idea of a prenup is disgusting to many Americans. It indicates a casual attitude towards marriage. More of an arrangement than a union of two into one.

In the case of second or subsequent marriages, I don't believe that is at all the case.

When a man or woman has accumulated some assets, and the amount need not be large, and that person now wants to remarry after either a death or divorce, IMO it is quite natural to want to preserve those assets in one name so as to ensure, for one thing, the ability to pass them down to the children of the first marriage. It is quite independent of any lack of trust in a second spouse.

In many such instances certain assets and incomes are pooled to be common to both spouses, while others are maintained independently.

I think the whole topic was overblown [i.e., McCain's error re: number of houses.]

The way the Obamas ran with it is just another piece of evidence that shows that whole group, starting with the big empty "O" himself, should be called the Not Ready For Prime Time Players.

It was laughable.

Worse than laughable. It was downright stupid.
Obama is far more vulnerable than McCain to criticism about how he acquired houses and wealth.

His harridan of a wife even squawked away to lower middle class women about how they should not seek well paid careers and instead take lower paying "helper" kind of jobs at the same time she was whining about how hard it is to make ends meet on 6 and 7 figure incomes. And, oh the humanity! The Obamas even had to repay student loans for their fancy ivy league degrees! Horrors!

As Obama's own books show, he is a self-absorbed pseudo-intellectual who has never "belonged."

He is completely removed from the American experience, except to the extent he cynically used the system to get ahead.

Since the point of the anti-McCain house "gaffe" ad was to suggest that McCain was out of touch with the voters, the empty O better think again. He's proven time after time that he is clueless in that area. The fact that he continues to follow the sophomoric advice of his staff is just further proof of his lack of leadership ability.

Simply put, he needs to grow up.
